EGGNOG.

  • Every December, folks all around the world participate in the great holiday debate: Eggnog, yay or nay? Thankfully the MUTTS team is here to make that decision very easy for you by introducing the tastiest little adoptable, Eggnog! Eggnog is Golden Doodle pup (born July 26, 2024) who was surrendered by a puppy mill from a litter that wouldn’t sell. For the first few days after her rescue, she was fairly shut down (not eating or engaging with her foster), but this is changing day by day. It’s time for Eggnog to find her family!

Eggnog is a little on the shyer side so she’s looking for a patient adopter who will help build her confidence! Eggnog much prefers women over men, though she is showing a willingness to test the waters of trust (she recently let a man give her a pet while on a walk!). With other dogs, she was initially terrified and would freeze in place. She’s quickly gotten over her fear and is now much more excited to say hey when she encounters another pup. Eggnog has met one cat and did chase when the cat ran away, but this isn’t a long term concern given she’s a puppy and can easily adapt to life with a feline roomie. The key for Eggnog is slow introductions so she has time to suss out new surroundings on her own terms.

Though she takes a time to warm up, our girl will eventually reward your patience with lots and lots of affection! Eggnog is a snuggle monster who is happiest napping in her foster’s arms. She usually prefers to be with her foster, but she’s a-okay hanging in her crate or on her own in a secured area. Eggnog isn’t too keen on playing with her toys and will opt to lie on her mat and nap instead. What really turns her crank, however, is exploring the backyard! She’s even become brave enough to sniff around without her foster at her side ... big steps for this little lady! Eggnog much prefers backyard exploration to going on walks. She will hit the brakes after walking only a short distance from the house. She’s getting better, but it’s possible that Eggnog is a little homebody in the making!

Eggnog is already potty trained and loves her crate (she has even learned to go in after her foster says, “Crate!”). She happily hangs in her crate for a few periods during the day and is crated overnight. Eggnog is currently being treated for Giardia (all associated costs will be covered by MUTTS). She is microchipped and has received her first round of puppy series shots. Her adoption fee will cover her spay (to be scheduled) and her remaining puppy shots.

Let’s help this sweet Christmas treat find her furever home in time for the holidays!
