Introducing our first 2025 adoptable, Red! Born October 8, 2024, Red is a mini goldenpoo who came to MUTTS as a mill discard, where he was deemed “unsellable” because his testicles hadn’t dropped. Luckily for Red, the rescue community was here to help, and our little guy is now on the hunt for his furever family!

Now that he’s free from the mill, Red is getting to experience puppyhood at its best! Our adorable little pal checks off lots of boxes on the puppy list: big fan of naps, very playful, curious, and eager to hang with his fosters as much as possible! Red loves to play and is especially fond of doing so with his humans. He’s currently learning to fetch with a tennis ball! He can be mouthy while playing, but that’s par for the course with a puppy. His medium energy pairs well with his current accommodations, as Red is being fostered in a condo. He’d make a great condo dwelling buddy, though he would definitely appreciate regular access to outdoor space. He loves joining his fosters on a long walk through the park!

Red has been receiving lots of training, though his basic obedience and leash skills remain a WIP. Red is working on potty training, which means he goes outside every two hours for a short walk, with a few of those walks being longer. He’s still having accidents in the house but has mastered the art of sleeping through the night without any issues! Red is making excellent progress with this crate training: he is crated overnight and only makes a peep when he’s awake and ready to go outside. He is also crated when his fosters go out, and other than an initial bark, Red is cool as a cucumber and usually takes advantage of the opportunity to snooze!

Red is microchipped and has had his first round of puppy series shots. He is currently being treated for Giardia antigens (all costs will be covered by MUTTS). His adoption fee will include his remaining puppy shots and neuter.
