Up next, sweet Muffin! Muffin is a high-energy ball of joy who lives up to her name with her sweet and lively personality. Born May 13, Muffin is one of the Goldenpoos rescused by MUTTS from a local puppy mill. She’s constantly on the go and seems to have boundless energy, making her the happiest dog you’ll ever meet! Muffin's world revolves around play, whether it’s with humans, other dogs, or toys—she’s always ready for action! Muffin is looking for a family who’s eager to add a playful pal to their brood!

Muffin is very social and loves to interact with everyone she meets, though she can be a bit bossy, especially with smaller dogs and kids. She’s not aggressive by any means, but her excitement can sometimes be overwhelming: she will jump, bark, and nip in an attempt to get others to play with her. Muffin would benefit from an adopter who understands her energy and can help guide her behavior through continued social training. With humans, including children, Muffin is just as enthusiastic! She loves to jump up for pets and playtime, and she’ll keep trying to engage anyone nearby in a game. Her ideal home would be one where she has plenty of space to run and play, as she’s not well-suited to a small apartment. A house or townhome with a yard would be perfect for her, especially since she has a particular love for grass!

Our girl Muffin is an incredibly curious pup! She wants to explore every nook and cranny, sniff every patch of grass, and play with every toy she can find. This curiosity extends to birds and squirrels during walks, though she hasn’t shown any aggressive tendencies towards them, just a lot of interest. Despite her high energy, Muffin does have moments of affection, though they often turn into play sessions rather quickly. She’s a bit of a shadow, following her foster parents around and barking when she’s left alone or in her playpen. Training is still a work in progress, with Muffin showing promise in learning commands like "sit," "wait," and "come," especially when there’s a treat involved. Potty training is also going well, with Muffin quickly learning to go on the grass!

Muffin has a few quirks that add to her charm, like her funny sleeping positions and the little noises she makes when she’s rolling around in her sleep. She’s also a bit mischievous, often stealing shoes and chewing on anything she can find, so her new family will need to keep an eye on her and provide plenty of appropriate chew toys!

Muffin is microchipped and up to date with her vaccines. She is currently being treated for Giardia, tapeworm, roundworm and coccidia (all associated fees will be covered by MUTTS). Muffin’s adoption fee will include her remaining puppy series shots and spay at six months.

Muffin is a happy-go-lucky, high-energy dog who needs an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation! She’ll thrive with someone who can provide the structure and training she needs to channel her energy in positive ways. We have no doubt that Muffin will make a loyal and fun companion to the right person or family!
