Time to meet Celine, one of our northern beans! Born October 20, 2024, Celine and her three siblings were rescued by our pals @manitobaanimalalliance. All four pups were found under someone’s porch, feral, underweight and terrified. Celine came to MUTTS along with her brother, Louis V. Though initially skittish and uncertain of what her new life entailed, Celine is building up her confidence day by day and is ready to move in with her new family!

If Celine could tell us what the highlight of foster dog life has been, she’d likely say getting to hang and play with her canine foster sibling! When they were first introduced, Celine was very cautious and even let out a few growls. It didn’t take too long for her to warm up, however, and now they’re best buddies!

She loves being in the company of her foster sibling and the two have been known to bunk up together in the crate. Celine would be a great fit for a family with another dog, especially since she is playful and energetic – a live-in pal to wrestle and tug with would be heaven for our girl! She’s already shown signs of being an active pup so she’d pair perfectly with an adopter who enjoys getting outside. She loves a good cuddle session after burning off some of her energy and will happily curl up next to her fosters once she’s sufficiently tuckered out!

As she’s just a baby, Celine is starting from scratch with her basic obedience and leash skills. She’s learned “sit” and “stay,” and will be quick to catch on to more commands, especially since she is highly food-motivated. Celine’s fosters have described her as strong-headed, so we’d recommend her adoptive family consider puppy classes! She loves to chew (puppy teething) but isn’t destructive – she happily expends some of her energy via her Kong. Celine has a love/hate relationship with her crate and will cry if left alone without a clear sightline to her foster parents or sibling. She is nearly potty-trained but isn’t 100% accident free in the house.

Celine is microchipped and has had her first series of puppy shots. Her adoption fee will include her remaining puppy shots and spay. She is currently being treated for Giardia; all costs related to her treatment will be covered by MUTTS.

Despite a rough start, Celine has quickly adapted to home life. She’s very proud of how far she’s already come and can’t wait to show off her confidence and skills to her new family!
