ARIES We may be a few weeks out from Aries season, but that certainly won’t stop us from introducing our latest adoptable pup! Born November 11, 2024, Aries was found as a stray in a remote community in northern Manitoba. Much like her namesake, this little fire sign is energetic and loyal and can’t wait to meet her family!

Aries’ boundless energy and enthusiasm for just about anything means our girl is looking for a family who can keep up! Aries looooves meeting new dogs. She’s still in the introductory stages of manner-learning so she’s not yet mastered the art of polite introductions when meeting new dogs. It can be hard for Aries to control her excitement, but nothing a little puppy training can’t correct. Aries is equally as enthusiastic when meeting new humans! She’s spent time with both adults and kids. As she is in her puppy-teething phase, much of her play revolves around nibbling. She’s still learning the “NO” command and requires some more training to redirect her attention elsewhere. Thankfully she’s food motivated and smart, which will make training a breeze!

Though Aries loves any opportunity to burn her puppy beans, she has no issues cuddling up with her humans on the couch and enjoying some snuggles. She’ll never turn down a belly rub or nose kiss! While she loves to hang with her humans, Aries also has an independent side. She is used to constant company, as her foster works from home, but she’s comfortable settling in a different room or in her crate. Aries is curious and enjoys exploring on her own, unless her mortal enemy, the vacuum, makes an appearance! Aries also has a clean record of sticking to her own chew toys … if you don’t count the one or two slippers she mistook as a toy!

Aries is 100% potty trained – in fact, she hasn’t had one accident while with her foster! She has frequent access to backyard potty breaks, but has learned to alert her foster if she needs to use the bathroom with a soft whine. Aries also loves her crate and will often opt to spend time in there during the day! Aries is microchipped and has received her first round of puppy series shots. She is currently being treated for Giardia (all associated costs will be covered by MUTTS). Her remaining puppy series shots and spay at six months will be covered in her adoption fee.

This little firecracker is ready to meet her new family, and she promises to be on her absolute best puppy behaviour!

SOCIABILITY: Humans (adults and kids) and dogs; cats, with proper introductions

QUIRKS: Her shepherd head tilt! And her little snores while she sleeps!
TRAINING NEEDS: Continued basic obedience, leash skills, continued socialization
